Job Profile:
The Climate Fellow will be responsible for implementing the YCLC curriculum in assigned government schools. Each Fellow will work in 5 schools and will conduct a minimum of two visits per week per school, delivering one-hour YCLC sessions during each visit.The Fellow will play a key role in engaging students, building climate leadership skills, and supporting school-level climate action initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation
• Implement the YCLC curriculum effectively in 5 assigned schools.
• Visit each school at least twice a week.
• Conduct one-hour YCLC sessions per visit.
• Ensure interactive, participatory, and activity-based classroom delivery.
• Support student-led climate projects and school-level action campaigns.
2. Planning & Coordination
• Coordinate session schedules with school principals and teachers.
• Align implementation with approved timelines and curriculum plans.
• Participate in regular review meetings with the Project Coordinator and State Coordinator (Project Manager).
3. Monitoring & Documentation
• Maintain attendance records and session reports.
• Support baseline, midline, and end-line assessments.
• Document success stories, case studies, and student initiatives.
• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
4. School Engagement
• Build positive relationships with school leadership and teachers.
• Encourage student participation in climate awareness and leadership activities.
• Support climate-related events and special campaign days in schools.
Skills:
• Strong facilitation and classroom engagement skills
• Good communication and presentation abilities
• Basic documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple schools and travel locally
• Passion for climate education and youth leadership
Desired qualifications/experience:
• Graduate degree in Education, Environmental Studies, Social Work, or related fields.
• 1–2 years of experience in education, school and community engagement, or development programs.
• Prior experience working with government schools is preferred.
• Interest or background in climate change, sustainability, or environmental education is an advantage.
Compensation
RS 4000 Per School, Per Month
If the fellows takes up 5 schools , the compensation per month would be Rs 20,000/-
