Job Title: Program Officer
Location: Kamalanga, Dhenkanal, Odisha
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) is the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group. It takes up activities with communities around the projects taken up by the Group. The thrust areas of its activities include Education, Health, Hygiene and Sanitation, Empowerment and Livelihoods development.
GMRVF is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Program Officer, based in Kamalanga, Dhenkanal, to oversee program activities in the peripheral areas of the GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited thermal power plant.
Key Responsibilities and Competency Requirements:
• Should be able to build and manage the programs in the field.
• Plan and implement field level projects in areas of education, health, livelihoods and community development.
• Should be able to work with a variety of stakeholders including Govt. Officials, representatives, farmers, SHG groups, teachers, volunteers etc.
• Develop an effective communication network and build strong relationships with community stakeholders and NGOs
• Plan and carry out community level activities in line with thrust areas of GMRVF
• Have through knowledge of computer (MS Office programs; emailing), prepare MIS and other developmental reports.
• Lead an initiative and take independent charge within the organizational policy framework
• Good in documentation, networking and stakeholder management.
Qualifications & Experience: Master’s in social work/ Rural Management/ Rural Development or any other relevant discipline, with about 6 to 8 years of experience in a reputed CSR Foundation, NGO or similar organizations. Ability to work in a team, maintain team spirit and excellent communication (written and verbal) in English, Odia are mandatory. Those who have worked in similar profiles will be preferred. Readiness to travel and to undertake field programs is important.
