Contract Duration: 11 Months from 1st July 2026 (renewable subject to performance and project continuation)

Supervises: Program Officers, Field Staff, Volunteers, and Implementing Partners
Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across districts and schools within the assigned state for program supervision, government engagement, monitoring, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination.
Level of Contact with Children: Level 2 – Sporadic or occasional contact with children.

Position Summary
The Senior Program Officer will be responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) Program at the state level. The role involves overseeing district operations, stakeholder engagement, program delivery, monitoring, reporting, financial oversight, and team capacity building to ensure achievement of program goals and compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise and support Program Officers, field staff, volunteers, and implementing partners to achieve program objectives and state targets.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to strengthen team effectiveness.
• Facilitate weekly review meetings to assess progress, address challenges, and share learning across districts.
• Build the capacity of team members in program implementation, monitoring, reporting, documentation, and procurement management responsibilities
2. Government & Stakeholder Engagement
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with state and district government departments, education authorities, health institutions, and community stakeholders.
• Coordinate with government officials and partner organizations to facilitate smooth implementation of project activities.
• Obtain necessary approvals and permissions for trainings, events, campaigns, and school-based interventions.
• Share quarterly and annual program updates with government stakeholders and partners.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships with educational institutions, health agencies, civil society organizations, and community networks.
3. Program Planning & Implementation
• Lead the development and execution of state-level work plans, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
• Oversee implementation of all project activities in alignment with approved proposals, timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee and support district teams in identifying and onboarding schools and institutions for program implementation..
• Coordinate teacher training programs and capacity-building initiatives.
• Manage distribution and tracking of educational and program materials.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, awareness activities, outreach initiatives, and field events to maximize program reach and impact.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
• Conduct regular field visits, monitoring reviews, and spot checks to assess program quality and progress.
• Track implementation against targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Collect, verify, and analyze program data to support informed decision-making.
• Prepare and submit timely state-level progress reports, implementation updates, success stories, and narrative reports.
• Support documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and program achievements.
• Ensure availability of supporting evidence and validation documents for reporting purposes.
5. Visibility & Brand Management
• Support initiatives that enhance the visibility and impact of the TBBT Program at the state level.
• Promote the value and contribution of Reckitt and Dettol through program activities, events, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate documentation of program achievements, media coverage, and success stories.
• Facilitate recognition of project accomplishments by government departments and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all communication and branding activities comply with organizational and donor guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
• Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Education, Management, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience including supervisory responsibility. within development, public health, education, or adolescent-focused programs.
• Experience working with government departments, schools, and community-based organizations.
• Proven experience in monitoring, reporting, and budget management.
