NRDC India is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. The role focuses on delivering high-quality administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while collaborating with a dynamic and fast-paced team.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to designated NRDC India staff.
- Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and internal meetings.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of team meetings, conference calls, and in-office room bookings.
- Assist with formatting, proofreading, and preparing reports, presentations, and publications.
- Work closely with the Operations Specialist, other NRDC India team members, and NRDC Strategy, Planning and Operations (SPO) team to help track and update systems and processes for tracking YTD spending in alignment with annual budget and prioritization budget allocation for program areas
- Help with the printing, collation, and distribution of project materials.
- Contribute to communication and outreach efforts, including social media support (Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
- Assist in compiling meeting notes, conducting research, and supporting documentation needs.
- Facilitate trip planning and logistics for staff, visiting staff and partners.
- Digitize and organize office documents, both physical and electronic.
- Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in administrative support, operations, communications, or related functions; candidates with more experience will be preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution.
Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Dropbox, and internet research.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, especially Twitter and Instagram, is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work independently, adhere to deadlines, and manage priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be resourceful, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience supporting small- to medium-sized events or meetings is desirable.
- Interest in climate, energy, or environmental issues is a plus, though not required.
