About the Position
Agragami India invites applications from experienced and dynamic professionals for the position of Program Director. The Program Director will provide overall leadership and operational oversight to the organization, ensuring effective program delivery, organizational growth, resource optimization, and achievement of program results and impact.
The position will play a key role in strengthening Agragami India’s programs in areas including adolescent support, skills development, livelihoods, safety and health, while also expanding partnerships, fundraising opportunities, and the organization’s outreach and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Agragami India and support implementation of its strategic plans.
- Oversee all projects and ensure effective, high-quality program delivery aligned with organizational objectives and community needs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for program growth, innovation and expansion.
- Develop strategic business and expansion plans for new program areas and markets.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with donors, funders, government agencies, community leaders and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies in consultation with the Secretary and Board.
- Identify prospective donors and actively support fundraising initiatives.
- Strengthen organizational communications, external relations and public visibility.
- Oversee financial operations and promote cost-effective and efficient use of organizational resources.
- Represent Agragami India in relevant public forums, meetings and media engagements.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to staff and Department Heads and promote a culture of professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, organizational policies and governance standards.
- Work closely with the Board on organizational governance, strategic direction and institutional development.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be a senior development-sector professional with strong experience in organizational leadership, program management, fundraising, stakeholder engagement and team management. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategies, manage multiple programs, build partnerships and deliver measurable organizational impact.

Qualifications, Experience & Language Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Experience: The candidate should have 10–15 years of relevant experience in leadership, program management or organizational management within the NGO/development sector, with demonstrated experience in managing programs, teams, partnerships, fundraising and stakeholder relationships.
- Language Skills: The candidate must be fluent in both English and Hindi, with strong written and spoken communication skills in both languages.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: would be between Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 1,14,000 depending on qualifications, experience and currently salary earned.
