Grameen Swasthya Rakshak Sangh (GSRS) - TI Project
Position: Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) / General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
Number of Posts: 02 (Two)
Project: Targeted Intervention (TI) Project
Summary of Key Functions
The ANM/GNM will be responsible for providing counselling, communication and clinical support to the programme and assisting in identifying individual and group behaviours, opportunities and challenges having implications for the HIV/AIDS programme.
Key responsibilities include:
* Identify motivators and inhibitors among individuals, family members and groups and address them through BCC sessions, one-to-one counselling and group counselling.
* Ensure confidentiality while dealing with individual cases.
* Participate in Project-Based Clinics, Preferred Provider Clinics, Health Camps and other project activities.
* Maintain patient registers and other required clinical records.
* Dispense medicines and provide health education.
* Demonstrate correct condom use and provide counselling on condom negotiation skills.
* Provide education on NSEP, overdose prevention, abscess management, OST, use of lubricants and other relevant harm-reduction services.
* Conduct field visits and provide necessary support to HRGs and their regular clients.
* Prepare at least 12 case records in the prescribed format and conduct risk management plans for HRGs or their regular clients.
* Maintain records related to referrals, patient registration, follow-up, referral cards, patient cards, condom stock and issue, needle and syringe stock and issue, biomedical waste management, medicine stock and issue and other records as required.
Additional Responsibilities for IDU TI Project
In case of an IDU TI Project, the ANM/GNM will additionally be responsible for:
1.Ensuring management of abscess cases at the DIC and in the field.
2.Assisting the Medical Officer in primary examination and preliminary screening of HRGs for general medical conditions and TB, including 6-monthly GMC.
3.Referring beneficiaries for further examination, investigations and treatment and ensuring follow-up.
4.Dispensing medicines, maintaining inventory of medical supplies, indenting fresh stocks and maintaining records for STI services.
5.Ensuring that all clinical reporting formats are properly maintained and updated.
Recruitment Qualifications
Education & Experience
* ANM: ANM qualification from a recognized institution.
* GNM: GNM qualification from a recognized institution.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a field-level health programme will be preferred.
* Experience in HIV/AIDS, Targeted Intervention (TI), health or community-based programmes will be an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
* Familiarity with government health policies and programmes.
* Strong communication and counselling skills.
* Ability to work effectively in small teams and flexible working environments.
* Proficiency in data recording/management, report writing and case study compilation.
* Willingness to undertake regular field visits.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and proper records of beneficiaries.
* Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, STI, harm reduction, NSEP, OST and related health services will be an added advantage.
Salary / Remuneration
Basic Pay: 12,500/- per month
Travel Expenses: 1,200/- per month
Total: 13,700/- per month
Preference
Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of Bhopal.
Reporting
The ANM/GNM will report to the Project Manager (PM) of the project and will be responsible for providing the required data, records and information for project monitoring and reporting.
