About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with 3–5 years of experience to support a Government Project Management Unit (PMU) focused on solar energy initiatives. The role involves technical, coordination, and research support across project planning, implementation, and monitoring, working closely with state government stakeholders and implementation agencies

Job Title :Project Associate / Consultant – PMU
Job Location :Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
Duration :1 year
Essential Functions
The candidate will perform the following key functions:
• Provide technical advisory support on solar energy solutions, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and decentralized systems
• Assist in preparation, review, and validation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
• Support in diagnostic studies that includes data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Liaise with state government departments, DISCOMs, and other key community stakeholders
• Conduct field visits to remote project sites for monitoring and data validation
• Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation using Microsoft Office tools
• Contribute to research, policy analysis, and knowledge products related to the project
• Support project tracking, progress reviews, and documentation of outcomes
• Work collaboratively within a structured, linear team environment

Desired profile
• Education Master’s degree in environmental science, Public Policy, or related field
• Experience 3–5 years of relevant professional experience,
Personal Competencies
• Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and solutions
• Proven experience in liaising with state government agencies
• Experience in research, data collection, and analytical reporting
• Hands-on experience in DPR preparation or review
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a hierarchical/linear team structure
• Familiarity with renewable energy polices and schemes in India
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote locations
• Fluency in English and Hindi (both written and spoken) is mandatory
