We are looking for a motivated and creative Programme Documentation and Communications Officer to join our growing team.
Scope of Work
The selected candidate will work closely with the programme and communications team member to strengthen programme documentation, fellow engagement, knowledge management, communications, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Documentation and Communications Associate will work closely with the team to strengthen learning, documentation, fellow engagement, communications, and organizational development. The key responsibilities include:
1. Training and Learning Resources: Support the development and preparation of presentations, training manuals, handouts, toolkits, and other learning resources for online and in-person capacity-building programmes.
2. Content Development and Communications: Edit communication materials, including social media captions, newsletters, blogs, website content, programme updates, and other organizational publications.
3. Fellow and Alumni Engagement: Conduct regular follow-ups with fellows and alumni to track their engagement, leadership journey, and contributions to their communities.
4. Programme Monitoring and Information Management: Collect, compile, and organize information on fellows' activities, leadership initiatives, community engagement, achievements, challenges, learning, and programme impact.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with fellows and programme participants through appropriate digital platforms to ensure timely information sharing, coordination, and support.
6. Progress Tracking and Reporting: Prepare periodic summaries and progress updates highlighting fellows' achievements, success stories, learning, emerging challenges, and support requirements.
7. Documentation and Knowledge Management: Support the preparation of narrative reports, case studies, success stories, meeting minutes, event reports, and other programme documentation while maintaining an organized digital repository of organizational resources.
8. Resource Mobilization Support: Research and identify potential funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development by compiling programme information, documentation, organizational data, and supporting materials.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
• Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, Journalism, English, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of Hindi is essential; additional Indian languages will be an advantage.
• Strong writing, editing, and documentation skills.
• Ability to prepare reports, case studies, and communication materials.
• Good organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellows, community leaders, and partner organizations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of Canva, social media platforms is essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for trainings, consultations, and programme activities when required.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in programme documentation, communications, or knowledge management.
• Experience working with civil society organizations, community-based organizations, or social justice initiatives.
• Understanding of issues related to gender equality, social justice, human rights, disability inclusion, youth leadership, or marginalized communities will be an added advantage.
