Job Description
 
Role Overview
 
Programme Management 
  • Develop and execute the district-level project plan in coordination with the Programme Manager.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders at the state, district, and block levels, including government education and health department officials.
  • Plan and facilitate teacher training sessions using the KiDS manual. Coordinate with district officials for scheduling teacher and student sessions.
  • Supervise community mapping linked to project schools and facilitate community awareness meetings.
  • Manage field visit schedules, oversee service delivery, handle team coordination, and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Programme Manager.
Data Management 
  • Supervise and monitor all project activities including sessions with students, parents, and communities.
  • Manage project data, ensure accurate documentation, and provide analytical inputs for programme improvement.
  • Build the data management capacity of field team members.
Reporting and Documentation 
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports (quantitative and narrative) to the Programme Manager.
  • Provide field data and inputs for programme reports in coordination with the M&E Officer.
  • Maintain complete records of referrals, forms, and field documentation in the designated application and in hard copy as required.
  • Manage project finances and financial documentation at the district level.
  • Oversee project-related social media activities at the local level. 
Travel
  • The role requires approximately 20 days of field travel per month. Travel and logistics support will be provided under the project.

We provide comprehensive services across prevention, care, support, and treatment, particularly for those affected by HIV and other infectious diseases.YRGMERF, in partnership with Sanofi, is implementing the KiDS (Kids and Diabetes in Schools) programme among government school students aged 10–15 years in Uttar Pradesh. The programme builds diabetes awareness and prevention literacy through teacher training, student engagement, community outreach, and social media. The internationally validated KiDS manual, adapted into the local language, is used as the core training resource, with qualified endocrinologists serving as master trainers.
 
The first two phases of the programme, launched in 2024, have yielded documented outcomes. The current phase involves expansion to 17 districts across UP, including aspirational districts and those requiring refresher training. 
 
Qualifications & Skills 
  • Post-graduation in Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing development, health, or nutrition programmes at the district or state level.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and handling complex field situations.
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and data presentation skills (MS Excel and PowerPoint are essential).
  • Working knowledge of the education department system in UP is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English. Liaison and negotiation abilities are essential.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
