About Us

Avilash, through its 'Dip Campus, has been working to strengthen educational opportunities for children from tribal, marginalized, and economically vulnerable communities in rural India. Avilash is developing an innovative formal school and vocational education facility that integrates technology, experiential learning, and community-based education.

Position

We are seeking motivated and mission-oriented educators to join Avilash Academy, our residential school campus located in Malandighi, Durgapur, as Residential Post Graduate Teachers & Education Researchers (PGT&ER) who are interested not only in classroom teaching but also in educational innovation, action research, and model development.

Selected candidates will function as both:

* Subject Teachers (Senior Secondary Level)
* Education Researchers and Innovation Fellows

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

This is not a conventional teaching position.

Candidates will receive substantial autonomy to conceptualize, design, and implement educational initiatives that can demonstrate effective approaches to:

* STEM and STEAM Education
* Project-Based Learning (PBL)
* Experiential and Inquiry-Based Learning
* Technology-Integrated Education
* Rural Innovation and Maker Education
* Community-Linked Learning Models
* Low-Cost Educational Technologies
* Skill Development and Vocational Education

Faculty members will be encouraged to develop and lead their own sub-projects aligned with the organization's mission of expanding access to quality education in rural and remote areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach senior secondary students in your subject specialization.
* Develop innovative teaching-learning methodologies.
* Design and implement STEM/STEAM/PBL initiatives.
* Document, evaluate, and publish findings from educational interventions.
* Contribute to the development of scalable rural education models.
* Mentor students in projects, innovation challenges, and community engagement activities.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams working on education, technology, sustainability, and rural development.

Desired Qualifications

* Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject.
* B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
* Demonstrated interest in educational innovation and research.
* Strong communication and mentoring skills.
* Ability to work in a residential rural campus environment.
* Experience in STEM, maker education, robotics, coding, sustainability education, design thinking, or project-based learning will be an advantage.
