About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager – M&E, to support the implementation of Health System strengthening and School Health Program, focused on Upgradation of government primary health centres in 12 states of India and providing health education and intervention in BMC schools in Mumbai. This role will be pivotal in ensuring timely, high-quality data analysis, documentation, and reporting. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to present technical content in clear and accessible formats. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight timelines and contributing to evidence-based decision making.
 
What will You Do in this role (Roles and Responsibilities)
  • Lead the development of program M&E frameworks, M&E plan, data recording tools, protocols and procedures for new and existing programs.
  • Prepare the reports and documents, and review as per the KPIs to fulfil the evidence generation needs of the MEL team as per the organisation's strategy
  • Analyse the regular monitoring data generated by the organisation to deliver the necessary materials for organisational evidence-based communication material. Data quality assessment, data audits, compiling, verifying the accuracy, sorting, and analysing data to make meaningful output.
  • Advanced data analyses to provide information on achievements against targets, data trends and others, which will help in decision-making for programs.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and program teams, to support project objectives and address operational challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, communication, and successful project implementation.
  • Ensure timely submission of data requirements and narrative summary reports for donor reporting.
  • Manage project review, impact assessment, and final evaluation.
  • Advanced analyses of data to provide information on achievements against targets, data trends, etc. which will help in decision-making for programs.
  • Plan and execute various research projects to provide inputs for program implementation strategy and to showcase program impact.
  • Monitoring visits to health system strengthening program sites every quarter. 
  • Co-ordinate with program staff in case of errors, data entry issues, application update, and technical support.
  • Conducting training on applications, addressing issues faced by staff and other users, and providing support.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor from time to time. MEL role will involve working in all other programs.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Postgraduate degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health (MPH), Health Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 -7 years of professional experience in public health programs, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.
  • Experience of working with not-for-profit organisation working in Public Health domain will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in donor management, including regular engagement with donors, ensuring timely fulfilment of donor requirements, reporting, assessments, and compliance standards.

  • Proven ability to translate complex health data and program findings into clear, actionable reports and visual formats (dashboards, infographics, PPTs).
  • Proven experience in writing technical reports, and stakeholder documentation.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
