Job Title: District Coordinator - Health and Education
Place of Work: Gumla, Godda, Latehar, West Singhbhum, Jharkhand

Project or Program: Health and Education
Period: 08 Months with prospects of extension based on performance and fund availability.
Introduction
Child in Need Institute (CINI) has been implementing/facilitating different programs to demonstrate models in improving quality of lives of children, adolescent and women in need. CINI also provides technical support to different State Governments and at National level for strengthening existing services and build up capacities of personnel working at different layers. CINI’s core model is based on CINI method that promotes a rights-based convergence approach which has so far attracted the attention of policy makers and other different actors of development sector, and which has proven to be an effective design to promote local level solutions for improving care and protection of Children.
Activities to be performed:
A) Programme Planning and Implementation:
• Lead implementation of project activities across assigned district in accordance with approved work plans and project targets.
• Prepare district implementation plans, activity calendars, and monthly action plans.
• Ensure timely execution of programme activities in schools, colleges, communities, and learning centres.
• Monitor achievement of project indicators and outcomes.
B) Team Management and Capacity Building:
• Supervise and mentor Learning Facilitators, CINI Educators, and other project staff.
• Provide regular field support, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Facilitate capacity-building programmes for Learning Facilitators, Peer Educators, Health & Wellness Ambassadors (HWAs), teachers, and community volunteers.
• Ensure quality delivery of SHWP curriculum and community interventions.
C) Stakeholder Coordination:
• Coordinate closely with District Education Department, Health Department, NHM, Women & Child Development Department, Skill Development Mission, Labour Department, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and district administration.
• Build strong partnerships with schools, colleges, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), ITIs, and other skilling institutions.
• Represent CINI in district-level review meetings, consultations, and coordination platforms.
D) School and Community-Based Interventions:
• Ensure effective implementation of life skills, reproductive health, employability, and remedial education sessions in schools and communities.
• Support integration of School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP) within participating educational institutions.
• Monitor functioning of community learning centres and adolescent groups.
• Strengthen community participation and ownership of programme activities.
E) Adolescent Empowerment and Employability:
• Facilitate implementation of adolescent agency-building initiatives.
• Ensure line-listing of adolescents and youth for skill development and career opportunities.
• Coordinate career counselling sessions, employability workshops, exposure visits, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor linkages with vocational training institutes and placement opportunities.
F) Government Scheme Linkages:
• Promote awareness and access to government schemes among adolescents and families.
• Coordinate dissemination and utilization of scheme compendiums.
• Facilitate convergence with government departments for scheme enrolment and benefits.
G) Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation:
• Ensure timely collection, validation, and reporting of programme data.
• Review reports submitted by field staff and maintained data quality standards.
• Conduct regular field visits and supportive supervision.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual programme reports.
• Document success stories, case studies, best practices, and lessons learned.
H) Financial and Administrative Management:
• Support budget planning and utilization at district level.
• Monitor activity expenditures and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
• Facilitate logistical arrangements for trainings, workshops, campaigns, and meetings.
• Ensure proper maintenance of programme records and documentation.
I) Child Safeguarding and Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to CINI's Child Safeguarding Policy, Gender Policy, and Data Protection Guidelines.
• Promote child-friendly, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices across all interventions.
• Report safeguarding concerns through established organizational mechanisms.
Qualification:
• Master’s degree in social work, Rural Development, Sociology, Public Health, Education, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
• Candidates with bachelor’s degree and substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience:
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in development sector programmes.
• Experience in education, adolescent health, youth development, life skills, gender, community development, or child rights programmes.
• Experience working with government departments and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
• Experience in team supervision and programme management preferred.
Competencies:
• Strong programme planning and coordination skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and networking abilities.
• Experience in training, facilitation, and capacity building.
• Strong monitoring, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital reporting systems.
• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language.
Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
• Ability to work with diverse communities including tribal and marginalized populations.
• Possession of a valid two-wheeler driving license is desirable.

Other Responsibilities:
• Carry out any additional activities as assigned by Supervisor or CINI Head Office.
Expected travel: Candidate is expected to travel within project areas for monitoring and supervision and State unit office
Remuneration / CTC: - Rs. 38,500/- per Month
