Your Role:
As a person in this position, the candidate should link between CRY and CRY-supported projects in the project area (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of partner-led programs aligned with CRY's child rights framework.
2. Conduct regular field visits to assess program quality, monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide technical support to partners.
3. Review program performance against agreed objectives, indicators, and budgets, and ensure timely corrective actions where required.
4. Assess partner organizational capacities and facilitate capacity-building initiatives to strengthen program effectiveness and sustainability.
5. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner organizations and provide ongoing guidance and mentoring.
6. Prepare high-quality reports, program analyses, case studies, and documentation in English for internal and external stakeholders.
7. Track project budgets, monitor utilization of funds, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and compliance requirements.
8. Engage with government departments, local governance institutions, and other stakeholders to strengthen child rights interventions and influence positive outcomes for children.
9. Support networking, advocacy, and collaboration efforts with civil society organizations, community groups, and relevant stakeholders.
10. Maintain project data, support evidence-based decision-making, and ensure timely submission of monitoring and reporting requirements.
11. Undertake any other responsibilities related to program management and organizational priorities as assigned.
YOU:
Experience and Qualifications:
• Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, or a related social science discipline from a reputed institution.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in urban and/or rural development programs.
• Demonstrated experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluating development projects.
• Experience in working with NGOs, community-based organizations, government departments, and other development stakeholders.
• Experience in child rights programming and community mobilization will be preferred.
• Prior experience of working with communities in Karnataka and/or Tamil Nadu will be an added advantage.
Language Requirements:
• Strong written, reading, and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory).
• Fluency in Tamil and Kannada (read, write, and speak) is essential.
• Knowledge of Hindi & other South Indian Language will be an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel extensively within project areas, up to 10-15 days per month.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
• Commitment to CRY's vision, values, and child rights approach.
