Reports to : Program Manager  
 
Location : Bodhgaya, Gaya, Bihar

7 villages of Basadhi Panchayat , Bodhgaya Block in Gaya District of Bihar

Supervises : Adolescent Club Facilitators (ACF)
 
Role:
The Field Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that project activities are implemented as per plan, in the villages of Basadih panchayat, such that the objectives of the Tarakki project are met. The Field Coordinator reinforces the contact that Adolescent Club Facilitators (ACFs) develop with the community. They help the ACFs to generate support and commitment to the Project and to obtain community feedback for improvement. The Field Coordinator supervises and mentors the ACFs selected by the project and helps them to become resource persons for adolescents in their villages.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Build Community Support and Engagement:
 
1. Through information provided by the ACFs, and through his own first hand contact, observation, and frequent communication with members of the community, acquire an understanding of the geography, demographics, socio-cultural features, resources, problems and constraints of the villages and their communities.
 
2. Build rapport and strong relationships with community leaders, influencers, teachers, local authorities, parents and adolescents in the intervention villages so that they understand, accept and support project objectives, approaches, methods and activities, encourage adolescent to participate in program activities, and do not create barriers to project implementation. 
 
3. Utilize opportunities offered during interaction with the community to:
  •  support the development of an inclusive and empowering environment for adolescents, promoting their voices and participation in decision-making
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to social issues, particularly adolescent development, gender equality, and community empowerment.  
4. identify and engage local resource persons in project activities.
 
Manage Adolescent Club Facilitators:
 
5. Build strong and supportive supervisory and mentoring relationships with the Project‘s ACFs.
6. Guide and support ACFs in mobilization of adolescents, their families and local stakeholders.
7. Support ACFs in forming adolescent clubs, enroling members, and sustaining club membership and participation at high levels and to routinely gather, record, and submit project related data, records, reports and documentation on time.
8. Handhold and continuously build the capacities of ACFs as adolescent guides and mentors.
9. Assist the ACFs to write their weekly “story” or “case-study”. Help them to identify the subject of their monthly stories or case studies, gather data and information for them, and write them. Also support the ACFs to prepare their weekly reports, and written, photo, audio and video documentation of project activities.
 
Make Adolescent Clubs Appealing and Relevant to Adolescent Audiences:
10. Get to know and understand the adolescent audience, their needs and aspirations. Pass this information on to the Program Manager and help him to design and enrich adolescent club programs and activities so that adolescents are drawn to participate in club activities, and also find personal growth through participation.
 
11. Assist the Program Manager to Identify resource persons, organizations, trainers, and other resources available at the village, panchayat, block and district level that can contribute to the sports, hobbies, vocational skills, life-skills, social awarnesss and sensitivity, and personality development agenda of the adolescent clubs. Help the Program Manager to build linkages with them so that adolescents fom project vilages can utilize and benefit from them. 
 
12. Gather information on Central and State government schemes and resources for adolescent development and discuss with Program Manager so that in club meetings adolescents can learn about how to utilize these schemes.
 
Training Programs:
 
13. Support Program Manager and/or Training consultants in conducting orientation and training programs for ACFs and adolescents.
 
Project Planning and Performance Monitoring, Measurement, Reporting, Documentation:
14. Prepare monthly and weekly workplans based on the annual project work plan prepared by the Program Manager. Assist the ACFs to prepare their monthly and weekly plan based on Field Coordinator’s monthly workplan approved by Program Manager. 
15. Ensure that he/she and his/her team implement project activities as per plan/schedule.
16. Assist the Program Manager in gathering, documenting, and reporting pre-intervention and baseline data required by the project.
17. Maintain detailed records of all activities, club meetings, and training sessions, and submit them in time for data entry and analysis. This will enable project performance and progress to be tracked and timely corrective action to be taken..
18. Ensure timely uploading of project information onto the project whatsapp group.
19. Support the Program Manager and other stakeholders during field visits to monitor program activities.
20 Carry out any other work assigned by the supervisor. 

      Requirements 

  • Master in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Public Health, Management, or any relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in community mobilization, project implementation, field coordination, or development sector programs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the local language and Hindi/English. Ability to prepare field reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Strong coordination and networking skills with stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital reporting tools, ability to collect, analyze, and report field data.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.
  • Possession of a two-wheeler with valid driving license and willingness to travel in project areas.
  • Preferably between 25–45 years. 

      Compensation & Benefits 

  • Monthly Salary: Take home would be Rs 18,000 to Rs 21, 000/-
  • Benefits: EPF, Gratuity & Accident Insurance coverage
  • Travel Allowance for Field visits
