JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : Senior Program Manager/ Program Manager
REPORTING TO : Director – Thematic Engagement & Innovation
LOCATION : Anand, Gujarat
POSITION SUMMARY:
Providing a strategy to initiate the opportunities to leverage the government and NGO sector platform to build a learning system and execute the same through internal and partner networks. Provide education and learning perspectives to communities and local bodies to be able to govern and manage natural resources in an ecologically sound and socially just manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential functions but not exhaustive):
1. Work with Prakriti Karyshala team in developing strategies for training, teaching, and skill development for various projects under the learning umbrella of the FES subsystem.
2. Acquire training assignments from the government and other development agencies by building relationships with the various departments in the government and other agencies, and building capacity.
3. Work with the team in the quality assurance function, and ensure delivery of quality learning and training programs, analyse the feedback and evaluations, to ensure constant updating of the contents and direction.
4. Develop new training modules, including training and trainer material; liaise with consultants and FES staff for content and training methodologies
5. Development of communication material (including training calendars) to create awareness about the institute and its offerings.
6. Support the state teams of Karyashala to ensure execution of programs through appropriate training methodologies and enable ongoing professional development of field trainers and faculty members.
7. Taking up any other task as deemed fit or as assigned by the reporting officer from time to time.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
• A post-graduate degree in development studies, rural management, education and training, social work, agricultural, forestry or any other related fields.
• Deep interest and experience in training and capacity building, community-based natural resource management.
• Substantial experience in the identification and execution of successful partnerships with NGOs / networks / Government agencies.
• Skills to organise convenings, workshops, documentation and dissemination of knowledge and information.
• Experience of developing training materials and modules.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex systems thinking into clear, persuasive narratives for government stakeholders, donors, and partners.
