Position Summary:
Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation will be implementing livelihood Project in the Asifabad District of Telangana State. The project proposes to work on the interventions recommended under the principles of Climate Resilient Agriculture such as - building Resilience in Soil, Rainwater harvesting and recycling, Irrigation and water saving technologies, adaptation of Tolerant Crop Varieties and Cropping Systems, Farm machinery (custom hiring) centres, Crop contingency plans, Livestock and Fishery interventions, Weather based Agro Advisories, Institutional interventions, Village Climate Risk Management Committee (VCRMC).
The Program Officer – Community Institutions will support the formation, strengthening, and effective functioning of community institutions, including Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), farmer groups, and other community collectives under the Climate Resilient Agriculture project. The role will coordinate field activities, facilitate capacity-building programs, support stakeholder engagement, and ensure timely implementation, documentation and reporting of project activities in the assigned area

Brief Job Description & Job Specifications:
Brief Job Description:
To promote/ strengthen Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) and establish the required systems and processes for internal governance and management—production, marketing, finance, MIS and statutory compliance—to sustain the organization and provide significant benefit to its members.
1. Work with farmer producer organization networks, carry out an institutional assessment, manage the subsequent institutional strengthening activities, and handhold in the implementation of project objectives.
2. Develop partnerships with government/private sector/technical institutions on various aspects like capacity building of various stakeholders (community cadre, entrepreneurs), market support, technical assistance, technology support, enterprise management etc.
3. Develop training modules and train the farmers on PoP.
4. Facilitate the formation of farmer-producer organisations as required.
5. Work with farmer producer organization networks, carry out an institutional assessment, manage the subsequent institutional strengthening activities, and handhold in the implementation of project objectives.
6. Develop and implement the financial and business model for the FPOs, including the funding sources and revenue streams.
7. Support the stakeholders in enhancing their capacities by periodically involving the expertise of reputed Institutions
8. Work towards convergence of all applicable government schemes for benefiting the tribal community towards achieving the project objectives
9. Develop Annual Work Plan to achieve project KPIs.
10. Regular monitoring of activities to achieve the quality and timeliness of desired outcomes in the assigned area.
11. Process documentation and verification of the case studies and impact of the interventions.
12. Coordinate and guide the field team in effectively piloting interventions, towards scaling up across identified regions.
13. Submission of plans and reports periodically.
14. Represent Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation in professional events.
15. Any other tasks assigned by the organization lead based on project demand

Knowledge & Skills :
· Good negotiation and influencing skills supported by excellent communication skills
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English;
• Computer proficiency with specific familiarity with commonly used Windows and MS Office software;
• Problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn new things
• Knowledge of Telugu is good to have;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with strong facilitation skills, and the ability to analyze reports, and plan and monitor projects.
• Ability to make effective use of resources and comparative advantage to strengthen programs and partnerships with government.
