Position Summary:
Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation is implementing livelihood Programs in Andhra Pradesh. The objective of the program is to work on the livelihoods of women farmers traditionally dependent on small ruminants (goat/ sheep) based livelihoods for diversifying their income, developing entrepreneurship, and Climate resilience aspects. Special emphasis on Gender Mainstreaming and community collectives.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for strengthening the business performance and commercial sustainability of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) by facilitating market linkages, strategic partnerships, enterprise development, and financial linkages. The role will focus on promoting business opportunities in coffee, turmeric, and pepper through aggregation, value addition, market access, and revenue generation. The incumbent will work closely with FPOs, buyers, processors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance the profitability and sustainable growth of producer enterprises.
The position will also lead and manage a team in the assigned project area, ensuring effective implementation of project activities and achievement of agreed objectives and results.

1. Develop and manage relationships with buyers, processors, exporters, financial institutions, and other market stakeholders to strengthen business opportunities for coffee, turmeric, and pepper produced by FPOs
2. Establish and strengthen market linkages for FPOs and facilitate business partnerships that enhance sales, turnover, and profitability.
3. Develop and implement viable business and financial models, including identifying funding sources, revenue streams, and growth opportunities for FPO enterprises.
4. Analyze market trends, value chain opportunities, and field findings, and recommend strategies to enhance market access and business opportunities for FPOs.
5. Support FPOs in developing sustainable business models for aggregation, value addition, market linkages, and sales of coffee, turmeric, and pepper.
6. Develop business strategies, operational frameworks, and market engagement approaches for coffee, turmeric, and pepper enterprises, based on industry trends, best practices, and organizational objectives.
7. Strengthen the business performance, market linkages, and commercial sustainability of newly formed and existing FPOs.
8. Work closely with selected FPGs and FPO networks by conducting institutional assessments, facilitating business-oriented capacity strengthening initiatives, and providing handholding support for effective implementation of project objectives.
9. Support the development of training modules, organize exposure visits, coordinate stakeholder meetings, provide technical handholding support, and ensure timely reporting against agreed project indicators.
10. Develop and strengthen relationships with multiple stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams within VCF to achieve project outcomes.
11. Represent VCF in professional forums, meetings, and events, while adhering to organizational HR, Finance, and governance policies with integrity and professionalism.

Salary Benchmark: Rs 50000/- per month
