ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The project focusses on empowering out-of-school adolescent girls (13–16 years) by expanding their access to inclusive, quality education and strengthening the supportive environment needed to prevent child marriage.
The Udaan project enables 1,800 girls to complete upper primary, Secondary and Senior-Secondary education through open schooling along with enhancing their confidence, resilience, and overall well-being through soft skills and mental health support.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overall coordination of the project including support Project Manager in the development of Annual plans, budget outlays for the state, management of budget, regular reviews of the Project Outline (PO) of the project, and maintain them as per the systemic requirements
• Ensure the quality implementation of the project in the state in timely manner as per Plan India’s institutional grants standards and donor reporting being done in a timely manner with specified quality
• Ensure quality project reporting to the Project Manager as per the agreement clauses with the donor and timely submission to the grants team.
• Work under the supervision and guidance of the Project Manager and implement an impact framework for the project accordingly support the field team to get data and evidence for the quality reporting
• Lead capacity building and/or mentoring at the state level for the field staff as per the project requirements
• Ensure the supportive supervision of the field staff involved in //implementation through regular monitoring visits/monthly reviews and provide them feedback to ensure optimal performance
• Anchor and facilitate the quarterly and annual review meetings at the state level of the project and guide the field team in providing technical guidance and review with the annual plans and M&E indicators and impact framework
• Ensure Liasioning with project stakeholders such as the State Department of Education, Women, and Child, National Open School, and other relevant State departments to ensure convergence with their ongoing programs, also to develop new potential partnerships with local authorities, education organizations, relevant to the project
• Support the Project Manager in the development and implementation of SOPSs and tools and ensure handholding support to the field team for its implementation
• Run/ facilitate project events and sessions at the state level both online and face to face as appropriate
• Provide any other support required by the Line Manager and as per the requirements of the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating development projects related to education, adolescent empowerment, or women’s livelihoods.
• Proven ability to manage field operations, partner coordination, and community engagement.
• Experience in planning, monitoring, reporting, and budgeting.
• Strong background in team management, stakeholder liaison, and donor reporting.
• Exposure to Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) and documentation processes preferred.
