Position Title: Program Manager – State (Nandurbar / Dantewada)
Reports To: Project Director / Content Program Manager
Location: State Office (Nandurbar or Dantewada) with extensive field travel
Employment Type: Full-time
Duration: Project-based (38 months)
Role Overview
The State Program Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and implementation of the Vocational Education Program within the assigned state. The role includes managing field teams, ensuring quality execution across schools, monitoring progress against targets, and maintaining strong coordination with government departments, partner organizations, and the central project office.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation & Planning:
- Lead the execution of project activities across districts and partner schools within the state.
- Develop annual state-level work plans, budgets, and implementation schedules.
- Coordinate with field officers, facilitators, and training experts for timely and effective program delivery.
- Ensure integration of vocational education components with existing school systems and government priorities.
Monitoring, Supervision & Reporting:
- Monitor project activities, outputs, and outcomes using defined indicators.
- Conduct regular field visits and support data collection for MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning).
- Review performance of field officers and facilitators; provide guidance and mentoring.
- Prepare monthly progress reports, presentations, and case documentation for the central team and donor.
Capacity Building & Quality Assurance:
- Plan and oversee teacher training, workshops, and exposure visits.
- Ensure quality of training delivery, content utilisation, and local adaptation.
- Support pilot testing and validation of new curriculum or assessment tools.
Financial & Administrative Management:
- Oversee utilisation of state-level budgets and ensure compliance with project and donor norms.
- Support procurement, logistics, and documentation processes at the state office.
- Verify and consolidate financial reports from field teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Science / Engineering / Education / Management / Rural Development.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of program management experience, preferably in education, skill development, or community-based projects.
Skills:
- Proven leadership and team management ability.
- Strong understanding of school systems, vocational education, and state-level administration.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
- Fluency in English and regional language (Marathi or Hindi).
Salary :
- CTC: 4 – 5 Lakh per annum
