Since 2006, AROEHAN has pioneered grassroot interventions across four primary pillars: Health & Nutrition, Sustainable Livelihoods & Water Conservation, Quality Education, and Effective Local Governance (PESA/Gram Sabhas). Our mission is to eliminate malnutrition deaths, reduce seasonal migration, and empower indigenous communities to claim their rights and resources with dignity.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and highly articulate Communications & Partnerships Manager. This hybrid role bridges the gap between field-level impact and external ecosystems.

You will be responsible for two core functions:
1. Communications: Amplifying AROEHAN’s grassroots stories, running our social media handles, and maintaining a compelling, data-driven website presence. Report; quarterly and annual reports, collects blogs and stories from staff and edit as per requirement/
2. Partnerships & Fundraising: Building networks with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) heads, institutional donors, philanthropic foundations, HINs and retail giving platforms to secure funding for our tribal development projects.
• Location: Mumbai (with need-based travel to office in Palghar and to field areas ) or based out of Palghar with strong connectivity to Mumbai.
• Reports To: Associate Director
• Job Type: Full-Tim consultant position

Core Responsibilities
1. Communications & Digital Media (45%)
• Content Generation & Storytelling: Visit field locations in Palghar to interview beneficiaries, capture high-quality photos/videos, and convert field data into powerful human-interest stories (e.g., success stories on water conservation, women-led mango nurseries, or malnutrition reduction).
• Social Media Management: Design, curate, and schedule impactful weekly campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and Facebook. Tailor content to engage corporate professionals, individual donors, and sector peers.
• Website Management: Keep the AROEHAN website updated with recent project reports, audit compliance documents, active donation drives, and fresh blog content. Coordinate with external developers if technical changes are needed.
• Collateral Design: Create marketing materials including the Annual Report, monthly newsletters, pitch decks, corporate brochures, and impact infographics using tools like Canva.

2. Fundraising & Partnership Development (45%)
• CSR & Institutional Pitching: Research and identify potential corporate partners whose CSR mandates align with rural development, water conservation, climate resilience, and tribal health. Draft tailored grant proposals and concept notes.
• Networking & Relationship Management: Represent AROEHAN at NGO forums, networking events, and corporate meetups. Nurture existing partnerships by ensuring timely reporting and smooth project handovers.
• Retail & Crowd Fundraising: Manage and optimize retail giving platforms (e.g., Give.do, GlobalGiving, or Milaap). Launch crowdfunding campaigns for urgent field requirements (e.g., check dam construction, setting up STEM centers).
• Employee Engagement & Payroll Giving: Pitch and design corporate volunteering days and payroll giving programs for partner companies to build deeper stakeholder connections.

3. Documentation & Compliance (10%)
• Collaborate with Project Managers to collect accurate field metrics and structure them into formal donor reports.
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure all utilization certificates (UCs) and compliance documents are shared with funders transparently.

Profile Requirements

Education & Experience
• Experience: 3–6 years of experience working in NGO Communications, CSR Fundraising, Institutional Alliances, or Public Relations/Development Communications.
• Education: MBA, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Development Studies, Mass Communication, Journalism, PR, or Marketing.

Technical & Functional Skills
• Bilingual Fluency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Good conversational skills in Marathi are crucial for interacting with field staff and tribal communities.
• Digital Tools: Proficiency in Canva (or Adobe Suite), social media scheduling tools, and content management systems (like WordPress).
• Proposal Writing: Proven track record of drafting successful grant applications or fundraising pitches.
• Report Writing: Quarterly and Annual Reports writing and designing

Soft Skills & Cultural Fit
• Empathy-Led Storytelling: Ability to communicate the realities of tribal communities with absolute dignity, focusing on empowerment rather than poverty-vulnerability tropes.
• Resilience & Willingness to Travel: Comfort with traveling to remote, rural hamlets in Palghar for ground-level documentation.
• Ownership: A self-starter attitude capable of managing both creative projects (social media) and numbers-driven targets (fundraising timelines).

What We Offer
• An opportunity to shape the narrative of an impactful organization doing deep, structural work at the grassroot level.
• Direct working exposure with senior non-profit leadership, IIT research groups (like CTARA), and leading corporate CSR teams.
• A supportive, purpose-driven team environment based out of Maharashtra.

How to Apply
Interested candidates should send their updated CV by 30th June 2026, a short cover letter explaining why they want to work for tribal empowerment, and a portfolio/writing sample (links to managed social media pages, past articles, design samples, or proposal drafts) to pramila.watas@aroehan.org with the subject line "Application: Communications & Partnerships Manager".
